Our Board Members are the greatest, join us as we congratulate them!


  • Congratulations to NCCS Board member and Omaha Chapter member Sue Seline for her recent induction into the Omaha Press Club Journalists of Excellence Hall of Fame. Sue was recognized for her career in television news, 14 at the local NBC affiliate where she advanced through the years from overnight reporter/photographer to state capital reporter, city hall reporter and consumer reporter until she anchored the local news. She worked in radio for 2 years prior to her work in television and is now back to radio, working behind the scenes supporting her family-owned radio stations. Congratulations Sue!


  • President Elect Katie Gantner and her husband Ron Gantner received the 2023 Mary Virginia Merrick Award from the Detroit Chapter. Katie joined CCS Detroit in 2014 and has served the chapter in many ways and held many offices on the Detroit board. Ron shared his business acumen and community connections when he joined the Christ Child House Advisory Board. Their love of mission of The Christ Child House led them to an important role in earliest days of the Capital Campaign to help fulfill the goals to rebuild the Christ Child House to better serve the needs of the children who live there. Congratulations to Ron and Katie!


  • Margaret Whelan Strong received the Servant Leader Award from St. Theresa of Avilla Church this Spring given “in honor of the person who best represents “Jesus the Servant” in our day through service with an eye especially for the poor and vulnerable in our midst.” Her community service includes being Executive Director of and organization focused on improving educational opportunities for all children in New Jersey. Advent Giving Tree coordinator, founding member of the Summit CCS chapter and service on the NCCS board, member of the Holiday Food Drive committee, and board member of SHIP-Summit Helping Its People. Congratulations Margaret on the recognition of your long-standing volunteer service!
