Being involved with the Society has been life changing, especially working with the boys at the Christ Child House in Detroit. I am excited to be on the National Board and continue to give to an organization that helps so many children.”
Katie Gantner serves on the 2020 - 2022 National Christ Child Society Board as a Vice President.
Katie has been a member of the Christ Child Society of Detroit for seven years. She co-chaired one of the Detroit Chapter’s three major fundraising events, the annual House Tour, during her provisional year. She served as Vice President Fundraising for two years and is wrapping up her second year as Vice President House Chair of the Christ Child House. In addition, Katie volunteers with the layette program and serves on the development committee.
Katie worked in the advertising industry for over 20 years as a media buyer, planner and account executive. After retiring to raise her family, she stayed active volunteering. She served as PTSA President at Pierce Elementary and Derby Middle School, Mom’s Club President at Brother Rice High School, chaired Brother Rice’s Irish Night fundraiser and ran many other fundraisers over the years. Once her children were in high school, Katie worked part time at a promotional/marketing firm as an account executive. She is currently co-chairing the capital campaign for Brother Rice High School.
