More than 50% of our chapters are operating literacy programs and more chapters are planning to join the initiative – the impact on youth is powerful and impacts their future directly. Development of Reading Programs for Young Children by Lillian Restaino-Baumann, Ph.D – provides educational guidance on how to design your reading enrichment programs to help young children master reading comprehension.

Read to Me Card– the bilingual NCCS Read to Me card is a great addition to layettes, tucked into a book given to a child, or offered for use by caregivers by our partner schools and agencies. These cards are provided to our chapters by NCCS and are designed to give parents and caregivers tips on how to engage babies in language developing activities.
